  • Photocopy of Education Certificate or Diploma (E-Government),
  • Health Certificate (obtained from hospitals authorized by DGCA),
  • 8 Biometric Photographs

Health Report:

Pilot candidates must obtain a health certificate from hospitals authorized by DGCA before starting their flight training. Since it is not possible for candidates who cannot obtain a health certificate to start their flight training, it is recommended that candidates obtain their health certificate before starting their theoretical training. However, not having the health certificate yet does not preclude registration or taking the theoretical training.

PPL Theoretical Training:

Theoretical knowledge trainings lasting 110 hours in total are conducted online (remote-interactive). Pilot candidate students are required to attend 100% of the courses. In addition, our NorthFLY flight academy adds additional lessons from time to time for the development of candidates in PPL Private Pilot License theoretical training.

Flight Training:

Flight Training lasts 45 hours in total and 46.5 hours including 1.5 hours of check flight by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). Training flights are conducted with single-engine Cessna 152 and 172 aircraft.

Location and Accommodation:

As NorthFLY Flight Academy, our PPL Private Pilot License trainings continue uninterruptedly throughout the year in our headquarters in Samsun, but trainings can also be opened in our other centers such as Istanbul-Tekirdağ. Our students are accommodated in our guesthouses, which are designed and furnished to serve as apart-hotels. The location of our guesthouses has been chosen in Samsun – Center to ensure that our students do not stay away from city life while studying. In addition, on the days of flight training activities, student shuttle services depart from our guesthouses to the airport.

Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) Attendance Status:

For candidates without any flight training experience, the PPL is the training that should be taken as the beginning of the Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) training. If you decide to choose piloting as a profession, you can continue with ATPL modular training after obtaining the PPL.

What is the PPL training period?

5 weeks of theoretical training and 50-70 days of flight training.

PPL (Private Pilot License) Training is 46.5 hours of flight training and 100+ hours of theoretical training, totaling a minimum of 146.5 hours.

PPL Theory training is implemented as 90% distance education and 10% face-to-face training.

Yes, we do. There are 1800 questions in the question pool. These questions cover all of the PPL courses. 90%-95% of the questions are the same if all of these questions are studied.

The exams are regularly shared on the website of DGCA and you can take the exam at the exam centers of DGCA (Istanbul, Ankara and Antalya).

You are allowed to take the PPL Theory exam 4 times.

You can fly without completing the PPL theory exam, but you must pass the theory exams until your control flight.

Your flight training is completed at Samsun Çarşamba International Airport.

Your transportation from the city center to the airport is provided by our flight academy. There is no additional charge for this service.

PPL training fee includes all flight related expenses except DGCA fees.

Yes, we do. You can stay in our student houses free of charge.

If you fail the check flight, you will fly as many extra flights as the Examiner determines and then you will take the check flight again.

The validity of the PPL license is 5 years but the SEP authorization is valid for 2 years. Every 2 years you are required to make a SEP renewal flight.

PPL holders can buy their own airplanes and fly freely, provided that they do not engage in commercial activities and subject to limits such as take-off weight.
