Recently, many people over the age of 18, whether they are university students or working in a company, are starting pilot training that will open the doors of the world and make them feel free. So how do you become a pilot? What training is required to become a pilot? Where should you start to become a pilot? The answers to all these questions are in the blog post we have prepared for you.

There are two basic stages of pilot training focused on fixed-wing aircraft, i.e. airplanes. Pilotaj eğitimin ilk aşaması hususi yani bireysel olarak yapacağınız, kendi uçağınızı da kullanabileceğiniz hususi pilotluk iken ikinci temel aşaması ticari pilotluk oluyor. Commercial piloting, on the other hand, allows you to earn money not only by transporting people or cargo on airlines, but also by engaging in all commercial activities such as aircraft surveillance, mapping and spraying.

Private Pilot Training

Private pilot training is the training that allows a person to fly single-engine airplanes by sight alone. In fact, the training that you can say I am a pilot is private pilot training. It is also the first stage of commercial pilot training. In order for a person to become a commercial pilot or airline pilot with modular training, they must first receive PPL training, in other words, they must become a normal pilot. In order to be eligible for a Private Pilot License (PPL), you must successfully pass a test flight after 100+ hours of theoretical and 45 hours of flight training. Training at our flight academy lasts between 4-6 months, depending on the test performance of the individuals and meteorological conditions. Detailed information can be found on our PPL page.

Commercial Pilot and Airline Pilot Training

In commercial piloting, and even in the most curious airline piloting, the process is arduous but very enjoyable in terms of more flights and increased professionalism in the name of piloting. Candidates who want to become airline pilots have to make approximately 100 hours of experience flight after obtaining the Private Pilot License mentioned above. Afterwards, when they successfully complete 600 hours of theoretical training, they are entitled to receive their Commercial Pilot Training. To become an airline pilot, it is not enough to have a Commercial Pilot License. You need to continue your training for flight authorization in both instrument and multi-engine aircraft. At the end of all these trainings, you will receive the Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL). At the end of 14-18 months of pilot training, the only thing you need to do as an ATPL holder pilot is to apply for airline recruitment.

Airline Pilot – ATPL Training Stages

PPL – Private Pilot
PIC – Experience Flight Phase
Night VFR – Night Flight Training
ATPL Theory – 14 Lessons – 600 Hours Theoretical Training
CPL – Commercial Pilot License Training
IR – Instrument Flight Training (Looking at Instrumentation Only)
ME – Multi Engine Flight Training

Note: You do not need to speak English to start ATPL Training, but English language training is required after PPL training. You can start at the same time.

In this article we have prepared for those who are thinking about how to become a pilot, we have explained the details of our PPL and ATPL trainings.
